Many many countries have provided food to Haiti since the earthquake. Most of this food is not "nutritious"... but rather, rice, beans, spaghetti, etc. They also provide good bottled water. Malnutrition is both a political and humanitarian problem, where there is poverty there is malnutrition. If countrys could work together to help poor countrys like Haiti there would not be as much malnutrition.
One negative aspect that is not helping malnutrition get better is the open air markets in Haiti.Most villages have "market day" twice a week since people do not have refrigeration. They purchase food/meat,etc and use it in a few days then go back to the market to buy more. The animals are slaughtered on market day and the pieces of meat sit in the sun, with flies and other flying insects all over them. The merchants try to sell their meat before mid-day when it gets too hot and the meat can spoil.
